Why "Clover"?
Before he has a name, birth certificate or a monogram...I gave him a nickname.
“Clover” came to me as because of a few threads woven deeply into my story — the rich Notre Dame green,
strong Irish roots, and a belief that some chapters are less coincidence and more calling. The color green
isn’t random. It’s heritage. It’s heart. It’s home.

In Irish tradition, the clover (or shamrock) symbolizes harmony and hope — three leaves, one stem. Strength,
love, and a little grace gathered together. And while I’ve always loved the symbolism, this Clover feels less like
luck and more like gratitude.
Because the truth is, I feel incredibly fortunate.
Fortunate to be entrusted with this life.
Fortunate to step into motherhood.
Fortunate that after all the becoming, this soul is making his way to us.
Until he arrives and we learn the name that fits him best, he’s Clover — a small symbol of legacy, love, and the
quiet magic of waiting.

And if there’s a little Fighting Irish spirit in him? All the better.
